Summer Bishil is an American actress who is best known for her performance as Margo Hanson in the Syfy the fantasy-based drama The Magicians (2015-present). The actress was previously recognized for playing the role of the 13-year-old American Lebanese girl Jasira Maroun who undergoes tumultuous personal experiences in the backdrop the U.S. war in Iraq in the Gulf War in the Alan Ball film Towelhead. Then, in 2007 Variety named her one of its 10 Actors-to-Watch. She played another powerful character Taslima Jahangir in the 2009 film crime drama Crossing Over for which she was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award in the Best Female Lead category. Alongside Lucky 7, she has also starred in Mooz Lum The Last Airbender Pop Star, Under the Silver Lake, and played several television guest characters.
